Torio grew out of one simple conviction: we want to give something back to Swiss judo.
Shaped by judo
Torio is three close friends who grew up together in elite sport. As members of the Swiss national team we competed nationally and internationally and gathered experience that still shapes us today.
Thousands of hours on the mat, countless sessions with the best coaches in Switzerland and beyond – that shaped us not only as judoka, but as people. For us, judo is more than a sport. It is a school of life.
Our judo
Torio stands for clean, efficient and uncompromising judo. We want to throw for ippon. We train hard – and enjoy it.
Our events are not ordinary training days. They are experiences where development, intensity and enjoyment come together. For every age group, for every level.
We believe judo builds confidence, shapes character and provides structure. That is the knowledge we want to pass on – to the next generation and to everyone who lives judo the way we do.
Where we are heading
We want Torio to grow over the long term and become the leading Swiss organisation for judo events. From training days to weekend camps to full training camps – we think big and work hard to take Swiss judo to the next level.
Every event should inspire our participants, move them forward and leave them looking forward to the next one.

Active elite athlete and long-standing member of the Swiss national team. Nils brings his international competition experience and technical know-how to every session.
Naïm Matt
A judoka with national and international experience and a broad technical repertoire. Naïm has a gift for making complex techniques clear and immediately usable.
Lukas Wittwer
Former elite athlete with years on the national team. Lukas combines his competition experience with a passion for passing knowledge on to the next generation.
